Article 9

Sec. 9.1. (Reg. 33.020) Any Brother may request a demit in person or writing, and a Notice of Intention to Transfer Membership shall be considered a request for a demit if elected in the other Lodge. Upon receiving said request, the Secretary shall verify that the Brother is free from all charges and indebtedness to the Lodge. The Worshipful Master shall appoint a qualified Brother to investigate the cause of such request to be reported at the next stated meeting.

Upon the report, given a valid reason exists, and the Brother is free from all charges and indebtedness to the Lodge, the Lodge shall act on the request. The Lodge shall grant a demit to a Master Mason upon a majority vote or a Fellow Craft or Entered Apprentice upon a unanimous vote to become effective immediately.
